Frequently asked questions
What are the due dates for GST returns?
For monthly filers, GSTR-1 is due by the 11th and GSTR-3B by the 20th of the following month. Quarterly filers under QRMP in Tamil Nadu file GSTR-3B by the 22nd of the month after the quarter. Dates can be extended by notification.
What happens if I miss a GST return?
Late fees and interest apply. If returns are pending for a continuous period, e-way bill generation can be blocked and the department can start cancellation of registration.
What is the QRMP scheme?
Taxpayers with aggregate turnover up to ₹5 crore can file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B quarterly while paying tax monthly. It reduces the number of returns but not the payment discipline.
Do I need to file GSTR-9?
GSTR-9 is the annual return. Small taxpayers below the notified turnover limit have been exempted in recent years, and GSTR-9C applies to larger taxpayers. We confirm your requirement each year.
Why is my input tax credit lower than my purchase invoices?
Credit is available only when the supplier reports the invoice in their GSTR-1 and it appears in your GSTR-2B, subject to other conditions. Our monthly reconciliation identifies such gaps early so you can follow up with suppliers.
